It just depends on how adventurous you want to be, or if convenience is more important, as there are numerous airports and train stations in the area. Our favorite way to arrive is by car, giving the freedom to visit many of the nearby towns and to explore on your own.
The nearby city of Urbino is 25km away, and for those who want to take a swim in the Adriatic, the seaside resort of Fano can be reached in 40 minutes by car. Gubbio, a typical medieval city with houses and palazzi still intact, can be reached by car in 30 minutes. The castle of Gradara, San Marino, Cagli, and Mondavio are all close by, easily reached by car as well worth a visit. All of these small inviting towns, where the ancient traditions of the typical umbro-marchigiano culture are still alive, offer typical characteristic restaurants where you can enjoy the local, traditional cuisine with tasty truffle specialties.

How to get to La Tavola Marche: Adriatic Highway A14 to the Fano exit. Continue on Super Strada, direction Roma, to the Acqualagna exit. Continue for Piobbico on S.S. 257. At the center of Piobbico, turn right and take the provincial road for Urbania for about 4 kilometers. Just past the village of Piano, turn left at the blue sign for Via Candigliano. Keep to the right at the fork and follow the signs for "La Tavola Marche Agriturimo Ca“Camone." Continue for just over 5km (when you think you have gone too far, you are almost there!) “Ca’Camone” is on the right side of the road.
No matter what your exact path, this drive passes through some of Italy’s most picturesque countryside.

- Ferrovia Central Umbra The little train that could! There is a direct train service between Rome and Città di Castello, only 20 minutes away) The local train is called FCU or Ferrovia Centrale Umbra, a train line with diesel-run trains comprised of two or three cars each. The electric lines above the train track have been there for about a decade, but the plan to convert the trains to electric is still exactly that: a plan. This is Italy - small town Italy! FCU trains are old-fashioned. The wheels make click-clack sounds, the horn goes toot- toot.
Bus
- Sulga Bus Service The Sulga bus service leaves Fiumicino Airport once a day at 14:30 and arrives in Città di Castello at 20:00. On the way back, the bus runs twice each day, at 5:30 and 7:15. Sulga also has routes between more frequented locations: Assisi and Fiumicino, Assisi and Florence, Gubbio and Rome, Perugia and Milan, etc. One of the best things of Urbino is that it remains hidden in the mountains, so it keeps the essence of a little town with the splendor of the Renaissance and the lively streets full of students. But in the other hand, if you're a tourist that will mean difficulty to access to the city. There used to be a train station, but nowadays the only way to get there is by car, motorbike or bus. You can catch a bus in Rome (twice a day), but the best way is to go to Pesaro (the capital of the region) and there (outside the train station) take a 50 minute bus to Urbino. You have a good schedule of buses to go to Urbino. If you want to go by car, pay attention to the road because it's the typical sharp bends' road of the towns located in the Apenines area. - If you take the bus from Rome, the bus stop is located in Piazza Tiburtina and the name of the Bus Company is Fratelli Bucci (the first bus departs to Urbino around 6:30 am and the second at 3:45 pm).
