Arrive to our five course feast, the next day join the Chef & feel like a local on a tour of the hidden meat & cheese market of Apecchio (with a little porchetta along the way), a walk around town, followed by lunch at the ‘hunter’s hideaway.’ Enjoy a laid back evening at the farmhouse with Quiz Night & snacks or explore the area and local festivals. Saturday enjoy a half day cooking class including mushroom hunt, wine, meal & our custom hand-made apron!

Join us the 2 biggest weekends of the year in our tiny village of Piobbico- The Polenta Festival celebrates the age old tradition of the area making polenta over an open fire in a copper cauldron! The second is The Ugly Club Festival!
If you join us one of these weekends, it is the same itinerary as the Gourmet Getaway however, we will do the cooking class for lunch and then visit the festival on Saturday evening together, stroll through town and up to the castle for stunning views and then feast upon the local festival menu - for both festivals polenta will be served!
And for those with a sense of humor, if you visit during the Ugly Festival - you will be evaluated and inaugurated into the International Club dei Brutti, Ugly Club!
There is an additional charge for the festival dates to include the festivities, dinner & wine.
Total = 2350 Euro/COUPLE or 1675 Euro/Solo Traveler
(Please note, This is Italy, if for some reason due to rain or scheduling the festival changes dates, the price will be reduced to omit the festivities)
**Sausages from Scratch
Instead of the usual 4 course seasonal dinner party class, we will make sausages from scratch- using local pork shoulder, salt, pepper and a garlic infused white wine. After the hands-on class, we will have a bbq with fresh grilled sausages!
